I know it’s late, but here it is anyway… a couple weeks ago we got to attend a lecture/seminar by Ravi Zacharias @ Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. My wife, brother and his wife went and picked out some seats near the back - good view. Turns out my friend Kimani had a hook up with his “brother” (Kimani calls everyone his brother) and we ended up getting front row seats. I had worn a tattered work t-shirt, shorts, and hadn’t shaved since I figured I’d blend into the masses. Not so. Nevertheless, the man is gifted and speaks to the glory of God. Really convicting.
Anyway, Kimani tells us that he can get us seats at a little get together with Ravi the next night - I have to dress up and shave for this. Turns out it’s a thank you dinner for Ravi Zacharias International Ministries West coast donors and the guy we’re with (John Njoroge) is part of the speaking team (as in the team that debates/discusses at universities, heads of state, etc). Talk about needing to be more informed… A great night nevertheless to see how God works in so many areas. Too often we get pigeon-holed in ministry and thinking that “our” ministry is the one. Not so…
Here’s a pic of us and the man…
